Dall’elezione di Trump abbiamo assistito a diverse giornate di euforia sulle principali piazze borsistiche e in particolare sul dollaro, sia contro Euro che contro tutte le principali altre valute a discapito dell’obbligazionario, che ha visto crescere repentinamente i corsi e dell’oro che ha visto scendere il valore fino ai supporti di 1.200$.
In pratica, il mercato ha reagito all’opposto delle previsioni ante votazioni, anticipando quello che potrebbe, e sottolineo potrebbe, essere uno scenario futuro a partire da gennaio 2017.
Nella politica economica di Trump c’è un po’ tutto quello che serve per far tornare, come dice lui, “Grande l’America”. Questo vuol dire che metterà incentivi fiscali alle aziende e darà più lavoro a tutti, come pure localizzerà la produzione industriale. In una parola inflazionerà il mercato.
Ora l’America già si trova con un inflazione che ha iniziato a salire, vicina al 2%, sommandoci poi il prossimo rialzo dei tassi a dicembre, si ottiene un risultato che porta il dollaro a salire rapidamente, assieme alla borsa, con il Dow Jones che segna nuovi massimi.
Nel concreto però non è cambiato nulla rispetto a prima di Trump e come si sa, le promesse delle elezioni vanno poi abbondantemente ridimensionate nella realtà. Trump prenderà le redini dell’America soltanto verso fine Gennaio 2017 e i primi incentivi fiscali, se ci saranno nelle misure attese, arriveranno soltanto a primavera 2017 inoltrata.
Sembra quindi che le quotazioni scontino tutta una serie di risultati futuri ben lungi dall’essere confermati, e l’euforia avutasi in questi ultimi giorni sia perlopiù insana, come pure il repentino apprezzamento del dollaro.
Un dollaro troppo caro porta con se anche alcuni problemi che potrebbero nuocere gravemente all’economia americana: Una rivisitazione ribassista degli utili delle aziende esportatici già a partire da gennaio 2017 e il debito pubblico USA acquisito e da rinnovare per lo più da paesi esteri come Cina ed emergenti vari.
Trump è noto per le sue capacità imprenditoriali e messo di fronte alla scelta tra un dollaro forte ed un’America competitiva non esiterebbe a scegliere la seconda. Dollaro contro Euro, ora a 1,06 potrebbe di certo vedere a breve la parità, ma il QE della BCE non è infinito e già nel 2017 qualcosa potrebbe cambiare.
Quindi prodollaro si, ma soltanto per il momento. Non mi stupirebbe in un secondo momento vedere il dollaro ad 1,30 contro Euro.
Una vittima illustre del dopo Trump è stato l’Oro. Storicamente l’oro segue fortemente l’inflazione e se c’è una cosa sicura è che quest’ultima è destinata a salire, con o senza “l’additivo Trump”.
In definitiva l’entusiasmo di questi giorni appare forse esagerato e il vuoto che ci sarà da qui in primavera potrebbe essere l’occasione per riportare SP500 ad uno storno di circa 10% per riequilibrare i P/E, con un rimbalzo dei Bond e un ritorno all’Oro in un clima di risk – off.
Anche le altre materie prime e paesi emergenti possono meglio performare in un clima inflazionistico.
Come per il dollaro, anche per la borsa, vedo più rischi al ribasso che opportunità al rialzo e per questo sposto la manetta indietro ad un più morigerato Manovra Indietro che equivale ad alleggerire le posizioni sui rialzi.
